چکیده
Abstract To accurately predict coal burst hazards and estimate the failure of pillars in underground mining systems, it is great significance to understand mechanical behavior coal-rock bimaterial composite structures. This paper presents experimental numerical investigations on response rock-coal, coal-rock, rock-coal-rock structures under triaxial compression. The compression experiments are conducted confining pressures range 0–20 MPa. resulting inside fracture networks detected using X-ray-based computed tomography (CT). experimentally observed data indicate that parameters composites superior those rock-coal combinations. After failure, combination specimens analyzed via X-ray CT. results display bodies primarily takes place within coal. Further, bursting proneness reduced by increasing pressure. Subsequently, corresponding simulations carried out particle flow code. reveal vulnerable with regard energy storage accumulation.

Experimental Study on Properties of Methane Diffusion of Coal Block under Triaxial Compressive Stress
Taking the standard size coal block samples defined by ISRM as research objects, both properties of methane diffusion of coal block under triaxial compressive stress and characteristic influences caused by methane pressure were systematically studied with thermo-fluid-solid coupling with triaxial servocontrolled seepage equipment of methane-containing coal. The result shows the methane diffusio...
متن کاملA numerical and experimental study on buckling and post-buckling of cracked plates under axial compression load
Existence of cracks in industrial structures is one of the important causes of their failure, especially when they are subjected to important axial compressive forces that might lead to buckling. Therefore, it must be considered in stress analysis and designing and loading of such structures. In this paper, the buckling and post-buckling behaviors of stainless-steel cracked plates under axial c...

This research deals with axial and oblique impact crash tests on simple and hybrid composite tubes. Axial and oblique impact tests have been generated on simple and hybrid composite tubes with one, two and three layers. A drop test rig was used to conduct the experiments. Furthermore, in order to gain more detailed knowledge about the crash process, finite element simulations of the experim...

Rapid development of engineering activities expands through a variety of rock engineering processes such as drilling, blasting, mining and mineral processing. These activities require rock dynamic fracture mechanics method to characterize the rock behavior. Dynamic fracture toughness is an important parameter for the analysis of engineering structures under dynamic loading. Several experimental...
متن کاملNumerical and Experimental Study of Ballistic Response of Kevlar Fabric and Kevlar/Epoxy Composite
Kevlar is a type of aramid fibers which is characterized by high strength to low weight ratio. This material is widely used in bulletproof vests and helmets, in which it creates a barrier to projectiles to protect specific objectives, laminated tubes and pressure vessels, etc. In this study the ballistic behavior of Kevlar /epoxy composite and Kevlar fabric is investigated. The results showed t...
